🏞 《太魯閣之美》

台灣山海勝景「太魯閣峽谷」，

為畫家筆下最具代表性的主題之一，

多次入選民眾票選「台灣八景」。
台灣師大美術系教授 馬白水

曾受公路局之邀赴花蓮寫生二十餘次，

以筆墨捕捉峽谷的壯麗與靜謐。

國立歷史博物館典藏之《太魯閣之美》，

為當代彩墨與水彩巨擘馬白水（1909-2003年）

於90歲高齡時繪作，

2015年由文化部指定為重要古物。

畫作共24聯屏，結構類似長卷，

各幅作品可單獨觀賞亦能以數幅拼接欣賞，別具巧思。

內容描寫太魯閣峽谷自東而西的壯麗景色，

以「太魯閣春風、長春祠夏雨、靳珩橋秋葉、九曲洞冬雪、慈母亭日光、天峰塔月色」，

呈現太魯閣自日出到日落、從海平面到山谷間，在不同時空流轉之景色。

"The Beauty of Taroko" created by Ma Pai-Shui (1909–2003) at the age of ninety,

this artwork demonstrates his attempt to integrate Eastern and Western painting styles and techniques.

In 2015, it was designated an Important Cultural Artefact by the Ministry of Culture.

"The Beauty of Taroko" consists of twenty-four linked screens.

Four screens in each set are titled to represent different themes,

with a total of six main themes: "Spring Breeze," "Summer Rain," "Autumn Red," "Winter White," "Sunlight," and "Moon-light."

The various seasons and landscapes of Taroko in Hualien are depicted sequentially in these themes,

from east to west and from sunrise to sunset.

The structure of this artwork is similar to a long scroll.

The artwork allows each screen to stand independently as a complete scene and offers flexibility in displaying the artwork by combining two, three, four, or six screens.

Founded in 1899, the Taiwan Tea Corporation’s former name was the “Mitsui & Co., Ltd.”. The century-old tea producer was established during the Japanese Occupation Period. For a century, the Taiwan Tea Corporation’s history is like a treasure chest of time and space, bearing witness to the rise and fall of the tea industry in the country. The fragrance of tea permeating the air evokes generations of nostalgia among the people.

國立歷史博物館位於臺北植物園荷花池畔，

是臺灣在二次大戰後最早（1955）開放的博物館，

具有「國家畫廊」的重要身分，

藏品樣貌多元，古今兼備，

是一座貢獻給理解臺灣近現代社會文化發展史的博物館。

The National Museum of History, located by the lotus pond of the Taipei Botanical Garden,

was established in 1955 after World War II.

With an important identity as a "National Gallery,"

it encompasses a variety of styles, spanning both ancient and modern times,

and is a museum contributing to the understanding of the development of Taiwan’s modern and contemporary social and cultural history.
